Three hundred years old, and family owned for the last twenty.
Crayke is a charming, picturesque hill-top village two miles north-east of the market town of Easingwold, in North Yorkshire. There are extensive panoramic views over the Vale of York to the south, where the towers of York Minster can be plainly seen, westwards to the Pennine Hills and, to the east, the Yorkshire Wolds. We are within the Howardian Hill Area of Outstanding Beauty.
Crayke stands 379 ft (115.5 metres) above sea level and, on a clear day, the view from the top of the hill extends over forty miles.
At the very top of the hill, the Castle (privately owned) sits over-looking the entire village, adjacent to the church. A beautiful historic village, situated on an ancient Celtic track-way leading from Scotland to York.
This venue is dog friendly.
