Coronavirus Vs. The Durham Ox Update 19.3.2020
A Letter from the Ibbotsons – Temporary Closure

Coronavirus vs The Durham Ox
Closure for two weeks, from: Monday 23rd March 2020
We are hopeful to be able to open again on Wednesday 8th April in time for Easter.
It is with a heavy heart and careful consideration that the Durham Ox will be closing its doors from Monday 23rd March 2020. We are initially doing this for two weeks and will re-open for Easter. (Wednesday 8th April) We will keep everyone posted if this has to change.
Our first priority is the health and wellbeing of all of our customers, staff and their families. A difficult decision has had to be made to ensure that we do our bit responsibly to not contribute to the spread of this awful virus. We also feel that our own staff need to be able to make arrangements and organise themselves to isolate and take care of themselves and their own families, psychologically and physically.
On a personal note, Sasha and I were excited that 2020, and the Ox celebrating its 20th year was to be memorable, but not like this. This is unchartered territory for all of us.
Thank you for everyone’s kind calls of concern and support. And thank you for the genuine sincerity to your apologies for cancellations. It means a lot at times like this.

Please take care everyone and we will look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
With our very best wishes to you all,
Michael, Sasha & the Ibbotson family and Team Ox
