THE FLOWER GARDEN – HOW TO GROW FROM SEED HOUSE & GARDEN
Clare has been Garden’s Editor at one of the UK’s most beloved glossy magazines, House & Garden for the past 14 years. Clare’s passion for gardening began in her twenties with an allotment and a large number of friends declaring her mad! She didn’t look back!
Over the past four or five years has been obsessed with growing flowers from seed, a project shared with her friend and photographer Sabina Ruber….and so they decided to collaborate on a book together….which also resulted in many in depth conversations comparing successes and failures and the flowers they love. The book is the result.
Growing flowers from seed is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to supplement your borders, bringing instant colour to tired gardens. Many of these flowers are also ideal for cutting, so within a single growing season you can produce armfuls of beautiful blooms to cut and bring inside the house.
